Privacy Policy

InboxBinder is a browser extension made by SwitchGear Studios LLC. It saves the email message you have open in Gmail, together with that message's attached and embedded documents, as one combined PDF file on your computer. This policy describes what the extension does with data, which is very little, and what this website does.

What InboxBinder does with your data

• All processing happens locally in your browser. The extension reads the currently open Gmail message's images and attachments, assembles them into a PDF on your computer, and saves that PDF to your Downloads folder (or a location you choose).
• File downloads happen directly between your browser and Google's servers, using your existing Gmail session. Your documents are never sent to SwitchGear Studios or to any third party.

What InboxBinder does not do

• No collection of personal information, email content, attachments, or metadata.
• No transmission of your email or documents anywhere. The extension has no server of its own; the only outside service it contacts is its payment provider, described under "Licensing and payments" below.
• No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or advertising of any kind inside the extension. Two things outside the extension are counted in aggregate, and neither can identify you: visits to InboxBinder's Chrome Web Store listing page, which Google reports to us for its own page, and visits to this website, measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data.
• No selling or sharing of data with anyone.

Browser permissions and why they are needed

• Access to mail.google.com and googleusercontent.com: required to read the open message's images and attachments so they can be combined into your PDF. Used only when you click the InboxBinder icon.
• Downloads: required to save the finished PDF to your computer.
• Storage: stores your two preferences (whether to include attachments, and whether to ask where to save), short-lived progress state for the current save, and your license state (the free-saves counter and whether a license was found). This never contains message content.

Licensing and payments

• Your first 5 saves are free, and after those you get 2 more free saves every calendar month. Both allowances are counted only on your own computer, in the browser's extension storage. No account or email address is needed for either.
• After the free saves, InboxBinder checks whether your copy is licensed by sending a randomly generated installation token to ExtensionPay, the payment service InboxBinder uses. The token identifies your installation, not you: no name, no email address, and no message content is ever included.
• If you buy a license, checkout happens on ExtensionPay's and Stripe's own pages, where you provide your email address and payment details (including a billing address, used for receipts and tax calculation) directly to them under the Stripe privacy policy. SwitchGear Studios never sees or stores your card details.

Data retention

The only lasting artifacts InboxBinder creates are the PDF files it saves at your request, on your own computer, under your control. Preference and license settings remain in your browser's local extension storage until you change them or uninstall the extension. Purchase records are kept by ExtensionPay and Stripe under their own policies.

Changes to this policy

This policy was updated on September 30, 2026 to describe the monthly free allowance that replaced the one-time trial. It was updated on September 29, 2026 to say plainly which analytics exist and which do not: none inside the extension, and aggregate visit counts on the Chrome Web Store listing page and on this website. It was updated on September 24, 2026, when paid licensing was introduced, to describe the license check and checkout flow above. If a future version of InboxBinder changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be called out in the extension's release notes.
